As your therapist, it is my hope to collaborate with you from a person-centered lens towards a better quality of life. I value a holistic approach, especially investigating how environments and systems can influence our mental well-being. My goal as your therapist is to explore how you can make life at least 1% more enjoyable for yourself. I will utilize your strengths and inner resilience to guide us. Together, we can find the best way for you to move forward. I am working toward my license for Professional Clinical Counseling (LPCC).
I am a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) in the State of Minnesota. I have been working as a 911 dispatched mental health first responder for the City of Minneapolis for over 3 years. Through this experience I have become very familiar with the challenges, stigmas, and personal toll present while serving a community. In an high intensity environment with little time for self-care, it is extremely important to promote a safe nonjudgemental space for support. Promoting mental wellness and support within the first response/public service community is a passion of mine, and I enjoy working with all individuals within that realm.
I also enjoy working with neurodivergent individuals (e.g., individuals with ADHD), individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and/or substance use. In my free time I enjoy being submerged in nature primarily adventuring through hiking whatever trail I can find. Since Minnesota limits our tolerable weather season, I also enjoy creating art through painting or drawing. I hope to utilize this creativity and adventurous spirit to guide us through your healing journey!
