I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) with over 11 years of experience as a therapist and more than 18 years in the social services field. I have been independently licensed for the past 7 years and bring a broad, well-rounded perspective to my clinical work.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse and my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University–Twin Cities. Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of settings, including the prison system, community health centers, and a federal level 4 school. These experiences have allowed me to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with a wide range of life challenges.
My therapeutic approach is primarily cognitive-based (CBT), helping clients identify and change unhelpful thought patterns while building practical coping skills. I also utilize Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to support healing from trauma and distressing life experiences. I strive to create a supportive, respectful, and collaborative environment where you will feel empowered to work toward meaningful and lasting change.
